These are a series of photographs I have taken on a medium format Hasselblad film camera from my travels around the world. My work aims to enliven consciousness in the viewer by applying meditation principles to the medium of photography. What this means is that I as a photographer have a regular meditation practice that allows me to capture the transcendent quality of life onto film. The viewer of the photograph thus engages in a meditation practice that allows them to experience transcendence through the sense of sight. According to Vedic principles, this is the purpose of all art forms, to bring you to a higher state of consciousness.

Film photography captures a moment in time in a way that is not possible by a digital camera. Simply put, it is a superior method of capturing light. This is because photons of light are "painted" onto the film whereas with digital sensors light becomes an "impression" of a moment. With film photography a moment in time is as if energetically frozen in time onto the film.

Each image is professionally printed on your choice of fine art paper or premium glossy photography paper. Prints are derived from high-resolution scans to ensure the finest quality.
